Grotrian-Steinweg is a prestigious German piano manufacturer known for exceptional craftsmanship, rich tonal quality, and innovative design. The company’s roots trace back to the 19th century, and it has a complex but fascinating lineage, especially due to its early ties with what would become Steinway & Sons.

This piano was made around 1939 making it one of the last to be produced before the war. It’s very rare to come across one of this age and still in good condition. It looks to have been refurbished in the past including polishing and new keytops. It was traded into us as a part exchange, however having only dealing with newer modern pianos we have decided to let it go at a discounted rate.

The company sadly closed at the back end of 2024 and no longer produces these fine instruments so these will only get rarer over time and maybe even collectible with value increasing over time. The piano would be suited to someone who wants to own a piece of history, or perhaps have it fully restored. The value of a fully restored one can range between 10K-15K.
