Founded in 1864 by Antonín Petrof in the Czech town of Hradec Králové, Petrof is one of Europe’s oldest piano makers. Built on strong Viennese traditions, the brand became internationally respected for its warm, romantic tone and fine craftsmanship. Despite periods of nationalisation in the 20th century, the Petrof family regained ownership in the 1990s, and the company remains family-run today, standing as Europe’s largest acoustic piano manufacturer with a global reputation for quality.

This Petrof model III is a wonderful piano to play. It also has Renner hammers, which are some of the best hammers in the industry, even used by Steinway themselves. There are some slight signs of wear and tear over the years but nothing to pull you away from the overall beauty. Strings, soundboard, action and bridges are all in very good condition.
