Rent-to-Own – How it Works

Our Rent-to-Own arrangement is a rental agreement with the option to purchase and should be read alongside the full terms and conditions. It is not a finance or credit agreement, and ownership of the piano remains with The Little Piano Store until the piano is purchased.

A fixed upfront placement cost is required prior to delivery. Monthly rental payments are made by Direct Debit through our authorised payment processor. The rental term is flexible and runs for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 18 months.

You may choose to purchase the piano at any point during the rental period. If you decide to buy, all rental payments already made will be deducted from the purchase price, along with an additional £150 reduction in the original placement cost.

Rent-to-Own option offers greater flexibility and allows you to spread the cost over time. If you choose not to purchase the piano, it will be collected at the end of the rental period.

Rent-to-Own Options

Our Rent-to-Own options allow you to enjoy a piano with the flexibility to buy it, keep renting, or return it. The piano’s retail price is agreed at the start of the agreement, and your monthly rental payments count towards that price if you decide to purchase.

You can choose from the following options:

If You Decide to Buy the Piano

  • The piano’s retail price is agreed at the start.

  • Monthly rental payments are deducted from the retail price if you choose to buy.

  • If you keep the piano, £150 of the original delivery cost is credited back.

  • You can purchase the piano at any time by paying the remaining balance.

If The Rental Term Comes to an End

  • If a balance remains at the end of the rental term, you may pay it to own the piano.

  • Once paid, the rental agreement ends and ownership transfers to you.

When Rental Payments Reach the Retail Price

  • If your rental payments reach the piano’s retail value, no further rent is charged.

  • You may keep the piano at no extra cost or arrange for it to be collected.

If You Decide to Return the Piano

  • If you decide not to buy, the piano will be collected.

  • The initial placement and administration payment covers delivery, setup, and administration.

  • No delivery credit applies if the piano is returned.
